Book a bench
BEFORE YOU BOOK:
Have you completed a health & safety induction? You need to be inducted to use the workshop, find out more here:
HOW TO USE THE WORKSHOP:
Once you’re inducted, you can access our online booking system which allows you to book a bench with access to the tools or machines covered in your induction. Please use the email address you used for booking your induction. You can book up to two weeks in advance. Bench spaces are available Mon-Sat, 9.30 – 17.30.
Benches can be booked across two areas:
WOOD WORKSHOP – The main woodworking bench space with easy access to all machinery including framing equipment
METAL WORKSHOP – The main workspace for using metal machinery
Additional spaces and machinery that can be booked:
We always have a technician on site keeping everyone safe and maintaining machinery.
We have 10 benches available in the woodwork area and 5 in the metalwork area. If you require specific equipment, particularly in metalwork let us know. Benches do get booked up quickly however, so try to book as far ahead as you can (available up to 2 weeks in advance) – but we recommend at least a couple of days to guarantee a bench.
On your booked day you have 1 hour to claim your bench otherwise you will risk losing your booking. Please notify us if you are running late.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you can’t make it for any reason, please note that you need to let us know before 5.30pm the day before, otherwise you will be charged the full rate. For Monday bookings please let us know by the Saturday before as we are closed on Sundays.
