CAJON DRUMS: MAKE & PLAY
|What you'll make||Cajon drum|
|Skills you'll learn||To build and play your own cajon drum|
|Duration||1 x Saturday, 10am - 4pm|
In this workshop you learn how to build and play your very own Cajon drum. The Cajon is a box-shaped percussion instrument originally from Peru, played by slapping the front or rear faces with hands, fingers or other implements.
You will then assemble the cajon, deciding on factors that will shape it’s final sound. Once all the cajons are assembled and ready to play, Keiran will lead the class in 2.5 hour ensemble percussion lesson.
The course will be lead by Tim Worsley, a resident designer-maker working with re-purposed materials. Keiran Pearson is a professional percussionist.
Please note that refunds and/or changes to ticket date are available up to 7 days before course start date.
