Join us for an introduction to spoon carving, using two different carving knives you will learn the techniques to safely and effectively carve your very own wooden spoon from Sapele. Oiling your spoon with a wax and oil mix to finish off your piece before taking it home for your own kitchen or to give as a gift.
Our tutor Lua Garcia is an experienced woodworker and furniture designer.
We are ensuring limited numbers of people on site at all times and carrying out social distancing measures with additional cleaning in place. All of our teachers will receive training in our new rules and we will be making all attendees aware of how to safely take part at the workshop. We will not be providing refreshments so please bring your own soft drinks and/or snacks. If you have your own face covering please bring this with you. We will have some disposable masks should you need one. If you don’t feel well or need to self-isolate, please don’t come to the workshop but let us know as soon as possible and we can discuss options with you.
