We kicked off the first of our material sessions this week as we invited Tim Sharman from Jesmonite to come and show us the transformative powers of this material. Used across the world in the architecture and film industries, this lightweight material can be cast to replicate stone and metal finishes without the heavy weight of concrete or steel.

Cast in silicon rubber moulds and rapid setting, we had a rubber finish tile knocked out over the course of a lunchtime.
