We’re celebrating all the fantastic kites that you have made over the summer via our Kit Kite Gallery which is growing by the day.
Last weekend we launched a short film about the project to coincide with the Barbican’s ‘In the Air‘ celebrations in place of what would have been the annual Walthamstow Garden Party. The film was made by Blackhorse Workshop member Adam Azmy, and features the fantastic portraits taken by local photographer, Robin Sinha.
So far we’ve raised over £800 for mental health charity Mind, and funds will go towards local services within Waltham Forest. We were also pleased to donate 50 kite kits that PL84U AL-SUFFA foodbank helped us distribute.
Thanks to everyone who took part – what a fun project! And to Waltham Forest for commissioning the kits as part of their Virtual Culture Programme.
