Lindsay Draws aka And Some Plyers is a zinester, potter, woodworker and Blackhorse studio member. One of her most recent projects has been creating a hand thrown teapot with a steam bent walnut handle.
The process of making this beautiful object is time consuming and has been a labour of love, but Lindsay has turned all the elements of this project into a very engrossing film. Following Lindsay through each step, from the throwing of the clay to the steaming of the walnut handles which were made here at the workshop, there is a definite sense of calm and as we watch the journey of several days work condensed into a very lovely 19 minutes.
As Lindsay says ‘It’s not a how-to video, just an appreciation of the process of making something by hand with two natural materials.’
