This project is an ideal follow up to the Introduction to Joinery course, practicing your skills and making a stunning mitred keepsake box.

Discover the thought processes that go into working with a material that breathes and moves, and master key skills in becoming a proficient woodworker including; measuring, marking, using the table saw, operating a router table, using drills and traditional hand tools such as chisels and mallets.#

The 5 week course will allow you to immerse yourself in the craft of wood working and the details of the project such as fine spline joints. All these skills can be transferred to a multitude of different tasks like hanging doors, edge jointing and drawer construction. Your box will be sanded and oiled ready to take home.

Please note that refunds and/or changes to ticket date are available up to 7 days before course start date.

This course is suitable for beginners but you may want to start with an Introduction to Joinery first.

When booking a course, please make sure you can attend all sessions, especially the first two sessions. We cannot transfer your place onto a later course or add extra sessions. The tutor will make their best effort to facilitate you catching up, but this may not always be possible.
