This course will introduce you to using the broader spectrum of workshop equipment and is an ideal follow up to the Introduction to Joinery course. Over these 8 sessions you will be using a range of power and machine tools to create a small oak table, designed around the traditional mortice and tenon frame construction.
As well as hand skills, you will learn to use equipment such as the electric hand-held router, biscuit jointer, chisel morticer and machine sander in the making of your piece. Every session combines teacher-led demonstrations with 1:1 tuition ensuring everyone is supported according to their individual needs.
As a great bonus, this course includes our workshop level 1 induction meaning you will automatically be able to book a workbench and use the Workshop in the future.
This course will be led by Will James, a designer and maker of furniture.
Please note that refunds and/or changes to ticket date are available up to 7 days before course start date.
