It feels like it’s never been harder to get a creative business off the ground. So we’ve been looking at ways in which we can help, and we’re excited to announce a new six month studio and workshop residency for someone living in Waltham Forest supported by Foundation for Future London and the City of London.
Are you or do you know of an ambitious maker keen to develop their skills and ideas through free access to the workshop’s tools and equipment? Read on.
– free studio desk for 6 months April – September 2021, (worth £1,6740)
– free workshop inductions (hand tools, power tools, wood machine shop, metalwork)
– £350 material bursary
– regular feedback sessions to support you moving forward
In return, we’ll ask you to spend one day a month supporting the workshop team – whether that be helping out on the technical side or contributing to projects or preparing materials for the programme.
How to apply:
Please send us a short statement (up to one page of A4) outlining how you would use your time at the workshop and what you’re hoping to achieve.
Please note you will need to provide proof of address as a resident of the borough, such as a utility bill or bank statement.
We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as BAME and disabled people are currently under-represented across the creative industries.
Deadline Wednesday 31st March
