Blackhorse Workshop was invited by V&A East to take part in The Great Get Together family festival at the Olympic Park in Straford. Alongside fellow east London maker-spaces Turning Earth, London Centre for Book Arts and Batch Works, we delivered a free metalworking activity for children, ages 4+. Using tin sheet, children were introduced to basic metalworking techniques to create their very own aeroplane, destined for a holiday location of their dreams! Skills learnt included marking out, folding, punching holes and decoration of their own fleet.
